Let the festivities begin!

I know the picture is a little blurry, but it matches what your vision would be like after slurping down a few (or a couple, depending on your constitution) of these. This, my friends, is a margarita on the rocks, no salt. Mmmmm...makes your mouth water, doesn't it? Some of you may be thinking 'I like a salty rim' and if you are, so be it. You'll have to use your imagination though. I prefer my margaritas without. I have enough sodium in my diet.

This coming Friday is my sweetheart's birthday and we have a whirlwind of activities planned to celebrate! So many, in fact, that I had to take a couple of days off of work. (Not complaining.) Tonight a good friend from Chicago is flying in to join us for the weekend, and another one is flying in from San Francisco on Friday morning. We have tickets to The Ellen Degeneres Show tomorrow, clubbing in West Hollywood tomorrow night, Universal Studios on Friday, a beautiful dinner with family and friends on Saturday, and hopefully a romantic dinner for two on Sunday. I feel so blessed that I get to be a part of celebrating the day she was born. She has brought so much unexpected, wonderous joy into my life and I'm grateful for every moment.

I suppose you're wondering where the margaritas fit into this celebratory, long weekend? Don't you worry, never fear, the tequila is flowing, maybe followed by a beer. Hear, hear; three cheers for a birthday weekend full of best mates, many adventures and, above all, love for the Aussie with the curly red hair who has blessed us by being born.
